A former Fortune 500 employee, Laurie left the fast track to reinvigorate herself and her grandfather's Alabama farm. At Canoe we consider ourselves a fortunate beneficiary of that decision.

Laurie and her husband, Will, grow quite possibly the freshest, finest produce in the region. Their land is free of pesticides and herbicides and supports a grass-fed beef herd and grain-fed chickens.

Laurie and Chef Gould have developed a relationship based on a mutual appreciation of the earth's natural bounty. The vegetables and herbs he uses in his dishes are hand-selected and personally delivered by Laurie. It's the next best thing to having our own farm out back.
