We would like to welcome Mat to the Special Events Team! With Mat’s support, Dana and I are confident that we will always strive to not only meet, but to exceed our guests’ expectations. We look forward to working with all of our guests to make their dreams a reality!!
Jeff and I both wanted to thank you for your efforts. We had the most beautiful wedding day in every possible way. Everyone commented how romantic the wedding felt. I walked in to a gentle rain, soft fans, the string quartet and our guests had the best seats in the house. PERFECTION.
You and Dana did a great job with the reception. The setting was beautiful, the tent and all the arrangements inside all looked great. The food was good (potatoes were amazing) and the wine team pulled off the special wine for the head table thing very well.
Thanks so much to both of you for all your help!
Just wanted to thank you and your staff for a very special and memorable evening. The food, service and ambiance were fantastic! Our guests really enjoyed the event and it’s all a credit to you and your team.
Thanks and hope to work together soon!
A perfect wedding IMHO thanks
Yes, it is prom season again. I remember those days…really, it was not THAT long ago. Looking for a new dress that would be unique from all others, happy that I was going with “my guy” to the prom. Wondering where we were going to be “seen” in my fabulous dress (of course, only worn once!).
I believe that going to dinner was the highlight of the event! Being seen at a great restaurant (like Canoe), not only by my peers, but surrounded by diners of all ages, was the best part. Not sure if I had salmon, but I know that my date had the New York Strip. I know that I have great pictures and I felt like a princess.
As we get calls for small and large prom parties, I smile at the great memories and know we are helping others create their own!
Hey, everyone’s always talking about the bride and wedding day. Let’s discuss the groom—does he get a day? No, he gets a rehearsal dinner where everyone gets up and talks about him! But seriously- from tailgate to black tie, 30 guests to 170, rehearsal dinners have taken on a life of their own. Not to upstage the wedding, it allows the groom and family to “have the spotlight”.
Traditionally held for out of town guests, the dinner was held after the “walk through” of ceremony and included those who came from afar and bridal party. Now, I have seen everything from intimate to feeding the entire guest list! AV presentations that can be embarrassing to endearing, groom’s cakes of decadent chocolate.
As the bride is always asked “what’s your idea of the perfect wedding day?” Thought I’d pose this question for the groom—“What’s your perfect rehearsal dinner?”
Welcome to my first blog! I am excited to be able to share all the special event experiences and update you on my latest ideas (and want you share yours with me).
Ok…so, it is …cold. I was wishing I was still on vacation, by the water, in Costa Rica. During my morning walk there, I saw a beautiful wedding, right by the ocean, surrounded by nature-such a unique location! It reminded me of the remarkable “destination” for weddings right here in Atlanta…Canoe…the river (water), outside, nature…all the destination site expectations, right here in Atlanta. (Minus the expenses airfare, hotel, etc.).
So, while I ‘m sitting here in the coldest weather Vinings has seen in sometime, we are busy planning lots of weddings for spring, summer and fall.
I am looking forward to a great 2011. Hope you will follow me on this journey!
