The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Dining Critic, John Kessler, recently featured Canoe in an article about attempting to be healthy and light eating while dining out (link: http://tiny.cc/ece7g). I appreciate being included in the article, it made me think about how to help patrons navigate through our menu if they are really trying to keep those lean New Year’s resolutions.
At Canoe, we are here to make our customers happy and provide an excellent experience. If you are trying to find something on the menu that is leaner, our servers are here to help you answer any questions. If that special something that you are looking for is not jumping out to you on our menu, tell your server what protein you would like and we can take it from there. In my opinion (call me bias if you like!), a good chef in a scratch-made house can create a low fat, lean dish for you that is full of flavor on the fly. We do this all the time! One of my favorite things is when a customer is looking for just vegetables – this allows for me to be very creative and make a dish that is seasonal, light but delicious. Whether you want beef, chicken, pork, fish or just vegetables — we can make it happen, just let us know what you are looking for.
I hope that eating light will never be so tasty! Good luck on those resolutions!
