My heart is full of joy when I think of Nina and Zachary’s wedding day, and Canoe is a big part of the reason why.
The gardens and restaurant were beautiful. The food was incredible. The day ran so smoothly that Nina and I were totally relaxed. Dana was the best! She kept track of the time and pacing of the event, and kept us informed of what was coming up next, so we never had to stress. Everything just seemed to flow along…like we were floating on the river!
Our guests have been making superlative comments to us. “That was the best food I have ever had at a wedding.” “Nina’s wedding was the nicest I have ever been to.” etc. Thank you is not enough to express how much we appreciate all the work that you, Dana, and the staff did to make the day so spectacular, but please know, we are very appreciative.” ~ Elizabeth
At Canoe, we are here to make our customers happy and provide an excellent experience. If you are trying to find something on the menu that is leaner, our servers are here to help you answer any questions. If that special something that you are looking for is not jumping out to you on our menu, tell your server what protein you would like and we can take it from there. In my opinion (call me bias if you like!), a good chef in a scratch-made house can create a low fat, lean dish for you that is full of flavor on the fly. We do this all the time! One of my favorite things is when a customer is looking for just vegetables – this allows for me to be very creative and make a dish that is seasonal, light but delicious. Whether you want beef, chicken, pork, fish or just vegetables — we can make it happen, just let us know what you are looking for.

I have to tell you – this is probably my absolute favorite time of year. It brings a smile to my face when I recall picking fresh basil for a quick salad.

In Normandy, it is too cool for grapes so the farmers there have orchards instead of vineyards. In our Norman-inspired punch, we feature a brandy composed of a selection of over 200 different apples which we combine with cranberry and cider for a distinctly apple cocktail.
