As Wine Director of Canoe, Matt Bradford looks to provide our guests with a myriad of options while offering value and quality. Currently offering over 500 selections with over 25 of those by the glass, Canoe’s wine list is one of the best in the city. 

The wine list, a recipient of the Best of Award of Excellence since 2009., is a “day to day challenge that’s many facets provide constant excitement,” says Matt. He describes the wine list as one that “will always be predominantly American, while we like to offer a representation of what is currently spectacular around the world”

While dining at Canoe, please feel free to ask for him to stop by and make a suggestion from the wine list. “Working with the wines at Canoe restaurant is a true pleasure. One of my favorite things is to find that perfect wine that will accentuate items from Chef Carvel’s menu. Food and wine go hand in hand”, says Matt “both complimenting each other while often times making the sum of the two greater than each individual part.”

Matt is a native Atlantan, who has recently completed both the rigorous Advanced Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers and his Diploma with The Wine and Spirits Education Trust. “Working at Canoe offers me terrific exposure to so many wines from around the country and the world. I strive to learn as much as possible about wine, in order to share it with Canoe’s staff and guests.”
